Melakukan Sesuatu

Ingatan buat diriku.

Melakukan sesuatu berdasarkan tujuan kebaikan.

There is no failure…

There is no failure, only wrong result. As Thomas Alva Edison replied to reporters who asked him about series of failed tests he had gone through, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." After the 10,000 tests, he successfully tested an electrical bulb. Imagine our world today without the bulb.

In our daily life, so many things we consider as “failures”. In the office, we unable to finish an assignment on time. The project delivery time delayed, and customer got upset. At home, children exam result below expectation. On personal, we do not achieve a target body weight after following a weight management program. The financial dream unachievable after attending so many financial intelligent seminar from professional speaker. What have gone wrong? We asked ourselves.

People talk about law that governs certain behavior of action with associated outcome and result. It is a generalization that describes recurring facts or events in nature and will never change. The law of gravity explains by which objects with mass attract one another. So far it never defies us. Everything falls down when dropped from height. Another example, water is the combination of two hydrogen atoms with one oxygen atom or H2O. So many other laws that govern our daily life.

Successful people share a series of similar quality among them and carry with them certain types of attitude and life pattern according to Dr. Lawrence Walter Ng, in his book “Passion for Extraordinary Performance”. The concept is similar to key principle of success. If the principle is broken, which sometime we do it without realizing it, we may end up with frustration of not achieving the expected objectives and results.

…to be continued.
