Privacy! What is it?

With a new development in the case Google unintentionally picked up privacy data from software used in Google map street monitoring, it shows to us, our privacy is easily penetrated and violated.

What privacy information picked up was not disclosed by Google. It was unintentional and admittedly as mistake. It has been taken care. Only that what has been ensured to us. Since the Google Map service is offered globally, this issue has attracted many interest parties globally.

When we come across this issue, what first we thought is, how safe we are from being privacy violated in this virtually connected world .

Many of us carry Blackberry or any broadband smartphone. In most cases, It is always-on to the Internet. We need it for email, tweeter, facebook and google map - for spouse to track the whereabout!

No doubt that each of the software used, we need to do some configuration to ensure certain level of privacy level. Worse, different software require different set of technical knowledge and understanding. At most we are set at default level, which might not be suited to our need. Sometime we don't even know what we suppose to put for our privacy.

Thinking about this, no wonder Google mistakenly picked up privacy data for its Google Map software. But, can we go without it?
